COVID-19 Testing

As an additional safety measure and in light of the increased COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant, NLMUSD is providing free COVID-19 testing on a voluntary basis for asymptomatic students, families, and school community. Testing will be available through the month of January on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at: Benton, Hutchinson, Los Alisos, and Waite Middle School.

Open Enrollment Changes

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District’s Open Enrollment policy is changing
These changes apply only to students who are applying for new permits. Students who currently have approved permits, will not be affected by these changes. Please also note that this change in policy eliminates year-round Open Enrollment. The only opportunity for your student to transfer will be during the Open Enrollment period. The California Healthy Kids Survey is being conducted February 24-28, 2020, for all 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students in the District.
