We started working on our Literary Analysis Worksheet with our Post-it Notes to better understand author's craft.
See attachments for worksheet. These are the worksheet instructions:
1) Read Brown Girl Dreaming and look for Point of View (Feelings and Thoughts), Onomatopoeia (word sounds), and Repetition
2)Write Point of View, Onomatopoeia, and Repetition in each title box
3) Draw an image that represents each title box on a Post-it note.
4) Underneath each Post-it Note write examples of each gathered from the text.
5) Explain why it is important for the author (poet) to have used these tools in our poem.
Complete the Story of the Week (annotations and summary) and submit through Schoology on or before October 4th
