School Overview
Corvallis Middle School is located in the southeast region on Los Angeles County and is a diverse campus with over 900 students. We have a predominantly Latino/Hispanic population (about 84%), 6% white, 6% African-American, 3% Asian, and 1% “other.” About 10% of our campus is designated special education, about 25% are English learners, and about 64% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. We have a certificated staff of 38, including a full time counselor and an AB1802 at-risk counselor. We have a principal and an assistant principal, and about 40 classified staff. Corvallis enjoys the services of a full time nurse and itinerant speech pathologist, school psychologist, district security officer, and an intervention specialist in our Goals for Life program. We also have full time technology and band teachers. We invite you to come to CMS and visit our campus. |
