Trimester 1 Awards Assemblies

Parents, Families, and guest of students earning the following awards are invited to attend the First Trimester Awards Assembly on Thursday, December 10, 2009.
8th Grade Awards @ 8:45 am in the MPR
7th Grade Awards @ 9:45 am in the MPR
6th Grade Awards @ 11:10 am in the MPR

The awards being presented include Academic Achievement Awards: Principal’s Honor Roll, Honor Roll, Academic Achievement, Citizenship/Effort Awards, Perfect Attendance Awards, and Student of the Month recognition.

Academic Achievement Award Criteria:
Based on trimester report card grades, students earn awards for the following:
• Principal’s Honor Roll (GPA of 3.83 or 4.0 with No “F”s or “U”s)
• Honor Roll (GPA of 3.5 or 3.67 with No “F”s or “U”s)
• Academic Achievement (GPA of 3.0, 3.17, or 3.33 with No “F”s or “U”s)

Academic Effort (Citizenship) Award Criteria:
Based on the trimester report card, students must earn Outstanding Citizenship / Effort in at least 5 of their 6 classes with No Unsatisfactory or Needs Improvement marks.

Attendance Award Criteria:
Perfect Attendance
Students with no absences for any class (excused or unexcused), any day during the trimester earn the Perfect Attendance award.
Note: School Activities are not counted as absences. Students suspended at school (in house suspension) or at home are not eligible for Perfect Attendance during the trimester.

Perfect Punctuality
Students with no tardies (unexcused) for any class, any day during the trimester earn the Perfect Punctuality award.

Character Recognition:
Each teacher selects a “Student of the Month” based on a designated character value for each month.
