Parent Conference Information

December 2009

Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District has scheduled Middle School Parent Conferences for December 11-17, 2009. These dates coincide with the end of the first trimester and report card grading. It is our objective to meet with the parent(s)/ Guardian(s) of every student during this conference period. Report cards will be distributed at the conferences. Please pick up the report card from the cafeteria window and then conference with teachers in the MPR. Please note that day conferences for sixth grade will take place in the classrooms.

Parents may “drop in,” any time from 1:20 to 3:10 p.m. per the following suggested schedule, for a conference:

• Friday 12/11 (last name begins with A-F)
• Monday 12/14 (last name begins with G-L)
• Tuesday 12/15 (last name begins with M-Q)
• Wednesday 12/16 (last name begins with R-Z)

The night conference will take place on Thursday, December 17, 2009 between 5:00 -7:45 pm. Parents in need of a night conference should plan to arrive before 7:30 pm. Unfortunately, parents who arrive after 7:30 pm may not be able to conference with teachers. Doors will close promptly at 8:00 pm. As night conferences are usually in high demand, if you are able to attend during the day conference times, please do so.

All conferences will take place on a first come, first served basis. Please note that students will be dismissed at 1:15 pm Friday, December 11th through Friday, December 18th. We look forward to seeing you.
